opsi client boot CD

Use the opsi client boot CD if PXE is not available

The opsi automatic operating system installation requires that the client at first starts from the opsi install boot image.

If everything is controlled from a central server the client needs a working PXE bootprom in order to retrieve the boot image before booting.

For clients that have no PXE bootprom or it is not possible to enable it the opsi client boot CD is available. The client may load the opsi boot image from it so that the OS installation process can start.

You may download an iso-image of the opsi client boot CD from here.
